When building a webpage together through natural language, the most useful starting point is its purpose: who will open it, what should they understand, and what can they do next?

Turn a feeling into something testable

“Make it look better” can become: “Help people remember Barry on the homepage. Use actual project images. Put the introduction and main buttons first on phones. Avoid horizontal scrolling.” Each sentence describes a result you can check.

Open the page and try it

Open a project, switch the theme, inspect the layout at phone width, and proofread the text. Working code is one part of the check. The experience of browsing the page also needs a hands-on look.

Leave a clear starting point for next time

Keep the current version before making changes, then record what changed and what you checked. When the next idea comes along, you have a clear place to begin.

These notes come from making this website and will evolve with practical experience.
